professionnels de l'informatique ou de la comptabilité, parmi
lesquelles sont citées :

Son objectif est de standardiser les informations fournies par les
"plus de 80% des plus grandes entreprises américaines [qui] fournissent
sous une forme ou une autre des informations financières sur Internet"
, mais également d'automatiser les déclarations fiscales et légales.
XBRL estime que les premières applications conformes à ses
spécifications devraient être disponibles en juillet 2000.
